The talky guys at MSNBC do their pals at US Weekly a solid by paying homage to US’s classic non-news news story trick. The current headline: “Ashley Tisdale sheds tears over ‘HSM3.’”
Wait, WHAT?! Oh no she didn’t!
It gets better, as a little perusing of the article proves that said tears were actually historical tears, part of a cute ‘lil anecdote Sharpay shared with Access Hollywood about the last day on set. Apparently, there’s not going to be a High School Musical 4. (Not sure why that matters to Ashley, Zac, Corbin, & co., though, since everyone knows that the Disney Channel actors all live together in one big compound underground.)
But, even as unabashed HSM fans ourselves, we know it’s for the best that the series end as soon as possible. After all, in today’s day and age, a Disney Channel Original Movie without the Jonas Brothers is like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup without the creamy peanut butter center.
SO in honor of this compleeetely necessary news-flash, we present you, MSNBC, with the Keeping America Informed Award. Congrats!
