Number of Myspace hits? Puh-leeze. That is so yesterday. (Uh, literally.) The new mark of greatness is the number of fans on your official Facebook page. The current tally:
Arctic Monkees Monkeys: 117,303 fans. 531 wall posts. (Not bad. These guys are hard on the heels of that durp-head Rihanna, who’s got around 120,000 fans; meanwhile, Taylor Swift, with a mere 106,000 fans, gets walloped. YES!!!!!)
The Kooks: 79,141 fans. 1,230 wall posts.
Okkervil River: only 954 fans, 56 wall posts. but a GREAT family photo:
Rilo Kiley: 4,520 fans. 107 wall posts.
Vampire Weekend: 3,184 fans. 131 wall posts.
The Shins: 2,311 fans. 38 (!) wall posts.
Annnnd then there’s the New Pornographers, chillin’ at 225 fans and 8 wall posts. This makes me upset…I think I’ll become a fan!
